May Pantry Update
More donations for the food pantry!
Boxes of food were donated by the Post Office through their food drive. We are thankful for their partnership and all the food that filled our pantry shelves.
Volunteers: Thank you to all of our volunteers! You are amazing, we couldn't do this without your help and support. We are in need of volunteers to assist with pantry prep while our confirmation students are off for the summer.
If you would like to volunteer to help with upcoming pantries, please click here to sign-up. This will aid us in knowing who is coming to volunteer and to ensure we have opportunities for all.
May Numbers: we served 140 families, equaling 498 individuals. We continue to see new faces and families coming through our food pantry.
Food Pantry Shoppers: Thanks to Peg's Pantry Shopper emails, the congregation continues to support the needs of the pantry.
If you would like to be a Pantry Shopper and receive the weekly deals, email schneider7@cox.net and use Pantry Shopper as the subject. You'll receive an email or two a week with grocery sales and deals that will help stock our pantry.
Current Needs: Our greatest needs this month are cereal, canned tuna, bar soap and toilet paper. Friendly Reminder- to help with our inventory control please only put your donations in the blue bin in the coat closet hallway at church.
Daytime Hour Volunteers: We continue to look for volunteers willing to help during daytime hours. This includes counting food, accepting Food Bank deliveries, and pre-pantry prep work. Please reach out to Kelli Joseph at ksjose123@cox.net, Pat Kern at patkern@cox.net or David Magnuson at davemagnsuon@cox.net if you are available to help during weekdays.
