Happy New Year!  We are turning the calendar early this year - the church calendar, that is!  November is the last month of the season after Pentecost and brings us to the end of the church year.  But this year, we also start our new church calendar in November with the first week of Advent.  During this past year, known as year A, our Gospel readings focused on the Gospel according to Matthew.  Beginning with Advent we will start a new church year, known as year B, which will focus on Mark’s Gospel.  Along the way, we will celebrate All Saints Sunday, Christ the King Sunday, and Honor our Indigenous siblings with a special service on November 25th.

November 1 All Saints Sunday Matthew 5:1-12
November 8 Pentecost 23 Matthew 25:1-13
November 15 Pentecost 24 Matthew 25:14-30
November 22 Christ the King Matthew 25:31-46
November 25  Service to Honor Indigenous People (followed by pie!!)
November 29 Advent 1 Mark 13:24-37
