On September 5, we conclude our Summer Worship Series: “Change the Story: Rethinking Answers to Life's Most Important Questions.” On September 12, we begin Year 4 of the Narrative Lectionary. As in past years, we will work our way through key Old Testament texts during the remaining months of 2021, then during the season of Advent we will switch over and read our way through the Gospel of John. Here is the schedule for the month of September:

  • September 5: Why do Bad Things Happen to Good People? Change the story from "God Plans/Allows Evil and Suffering" to "God Can't Stop Evil and Suffering."  Mark 15:25-34
  • September 12: “Creation by the Word”  Genesis 1:1—2:4a
  • September 19: “Binding of Isaac”  Genesis 21:1-3; 22:1-14
  • September 26: “Jacob's Dream”  Genesis 28:10-17

COVID 19 Precautions: Because of the increasing COVID 19 case numbers and the high-rate of transmission of the Delta Variant, ALL in-person worship participants, vaccinated or not vaccinated, are required to wear masks effective Sunday, August 8, 2021.
