Thanksgiving Pantry: We are in Thanksgiving Pantry mode! Turkeys have been ordered, church
partners are collecting items for us and we will begin the weekly item needs in October. Please see the
listing below:
● October 4 - Green Beans
● October 11 - Canned Fruit
● October 18 - Boxed cake mixes (we encourage spice cake mixes if possible)
● October 25 - Cake Frosting

Along with the weekly focus, the Holy Cross Knitting Group with also be collecting bar soap to
insert in the soap sacks they have made for the Thanksgiving pantry

The “turkey” table will be set up October 4 if you would like to donate to the purchase of the turkeys.
This is our largest pantry and we look forward to providing our neighbors with a Thanksgiving meal!

Pantry Forum: October 11 the pantry team will be hosting a forum on how we prep for each pantry and
the process we follow for both prep and pantry. This will be an opportunity for “hands on” training -
come and see how easy it can be to volunteer!

September Numbers: we served 163 households, equaling 690 individuals. This is an increase of
approximately 100 for both households and individuals.

Current Needs: Our greatest need this month is ramen noodles. The need for plastic grocery bags is
constant as these are used for frozen items and tp/soap.
