Our Lenten journey draws to an end in the month of March with the last three Sundays during Lent that then lead into Holy Week.  In Holy Week we recount the final days of Jesus and his passion leading up to the cross.  We enter into the dramatic story as we reenact Jesus’ procession into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, hear about his betrayal on Maundy Thursday, and as we reflect on the horrors of the cross on Good Friday.  This is the story that connects Jesus to our own lives of pain, loss, fear and suffering… Becoming one of us, God experienced the struggles that we live with every day.  And it is out of that very real pain, and loss, and death, that God brings resurrection and new life!  This is the Good News that we celebrate on Easter Sunday.  And it is this amazingly good news that we continue to celebrate throughout the season of Easter that stretches through April and into May.
