“Ordinary Time” has come early this year! We have officially entered the longest season of the church year - “ordinary time,” aka “time after Pentecost.” This is the longest season of the church year and lasts all the way until Advent! During the time after Pentecost, the color is green - with the exceptions of Reformation Sunday (red), All Saints Sunday, and Christ the King Sunday (both white). During this season, we will remain focused on the life and ministry of Jesus as well as God’s on-going work in the world. As the world around us becomes lush and green, the church also puts on green garments and celebrates God’s gift of life.
