The Holy Cross Food Pantry continues to serve the community the First Saturday and Third Thursday of every month.  We will continue with our drive-thru pantry service until further notice.

The month of January showed us just what it's like living in Nebraska and running a drive thru food pantry in the winter.  Between the Food Bank being closed for large chunks of the month due to a computer upgrade and then later in the month due to weather, we opened both our food pantries without a food delivery from the food bank and struggled with extremely large food pick ups from Family Fare.  And we were opened during the "Snow Squall"...raise your hand if you had to google what a Snow Squall was when that scary alarm went off on your phone?  26 families braved the weather and were greeted by 6 faithful volunteers that cold and snowy night.  Because of this extreme weather, our numbers are quite different from last month, but still higher than last year's January.

Continue watching Facebook and the bulletin announcements for our food needs list.

Our numbers served through the years for reference.

  • January 2023 we served 70 families with 325 individuals
  • January 2024 we served 104 families with 489 individuals

We appreciate all of your support as we continue to serve the community.
