Join us on Sunday October 18th from 4-7 PM at Carol Joy Holling Camp in Ashland, NE for a Holy Cross Congregation Campfire!
Each year, we gather together in the fall for a hayrack ride and dinner over the fire. We didn't want to lose the fall fun, but also recognize that things are different due to the pandemic. So this year, we are doing a campfire at Carol Joy Holling Camp! The space we have reserved is big enough for everyone to spread out and keep distance, and there are restrooms nearby. We think it will be the perfect way to gather together safely and celebrate the fall season!
No need to sign up, just head out to Carol Joy Holling Camp around 4:00 on the 18th and follow the signs! We'll be ready for you!
What to bring:
- Bag chairs/lawn chairs
- Your own food + supplies: Normally, we supply all of the food for this event, but this year we are asking that everyone brings their own. This way, mulitple people aren't touching certain items. Bring whatever you'd like to roast on the fire - hot dogs, s'mores, etc.
- Warm clothing, blanket, etc.
- Hiking/walking shoes (optional): Carol Joy Holling has great hiking trails, and you are welcome to explore while we are there!
- Face mask if/when we aren't able to social distance.
We will supply:
- The campfire/firewood
- Paper towels, paper plates
