Spark Choir

Spark Choir is our Sunday School choir for Preschool-5th graders. The Sunday School children meet for music time at the end of Sunday School each week, and share a selection in music, approximately every six weeks. 

King's Kids Choir

This children's choir for 1st-5th graders meets on Wednesday evenings during Kids Krew portion of the WET programming. They meet under the direction of Jack Hutchinson, and prepare music to share in worship on a monthly basis. Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 7th, 2011.

Children's Bell Choir

The "Radical Ringers" is our bell ringing group of 2nd-6th graders that meets on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. They share their special pieces in worship approximately once a month, alternating between the 8:30 AM and 11 AM worship service.

These ringers do not need prior musical experience. All are welcome, but we do ask for consistency! The children will get the opportunity to ring the colored bells, chimes, and sometimes even the "real" bells. It is a fun and productive time for the children to grow in and share their gifts. 

Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 7th.  As this is a group that does require special preparation on the part of the leadership, please contact Jennifer Wallwey to sign your children up.

Children Led Worship

Holy Cross offers children-led worship services throughout the  year, where kids from preschool to 5th grade take the leadership roles in worship! Our last children-led worship was March 5 & 6, 2011, featuring the children's musical, "We Are United."  The next children-led worship is scheduled for February 19th.

Christmas Program

Preschool through fifth graders (and sometimes 6th-8th graders) prepare a Christmas program during their Sunday School time in November and December. This presentation is shared with the congregation at an afternoon program in early December.  The 2010 program was Sunday, December 19, and featured our preschool through eighth graders, as well as a few adults, in "Once Upon a Christmas Cheery."  The 2011 Christmas program is scheduled for Sunday, December 11th at 4 p.m.
